SYNOPSIS
After years of trying to prove beyond doubt that a supernatural universe co-exists all around us, Dr. Mary Florescu, PhD gets an opportunity that may finally confirm her best-selling theories. With her trusted associate, Reg Fuller, Mary moves into the peculiar Tollington house where several brutal and unexplained murders have taken place. She brings along one of her students from the University where she teaches, Simon McNeal, a gorgeous and complicated young man with whom Mary is intrigued professionally and personally. Because of paranormal incidents in Simon’s past, Mary hopes he will become the medium to finally unlock the dark secrets of Tollington house. During their “investigation”, several inexplicable and increasingly horrific incidents transpire. Mary is convinced she is on the verge of quantifiable proof of the supernatural. Instead, she and Reg discover evidence Simon himself may have concocted an elaborate and devious fraud to take advantage of her renown and glorify himself. What neither Mary nor Simon realize until it’s too late is that the passion he has ignited in her has unleashed forces in this house that can’t be restrained. Tollington house is, in fact, an intersection of the dead, a crossroads on the highways of lost souls who are desperate to tell their stories. And once the veil between our world and theirs has been penetrated nothing can stop them. For Simon this will result in endless agony as he becomes the medium Mary always hoped for. Literally! His own body is the tablet upon which the dead will write. He will become, in fact, their book of blood, forever a slave to their countless tales of murder, perversion, injustice and torment, forever the hostage of a transfigured Mary Florescu who will spend the rest of their lives translating the writings on his skin for us to read and understand.
